"I like using Utilit-e Insight for many reasons. All the modules work so well together because they were designed to do just that from the beginning. As with many software packages, a lot of data is in the system, but can you access the data you want? The reporting options available to the user now make it easier than ever access the data, especially using the Excel Pivot Tool.
I also like working with a company where you are treated like a person, not a number.
I like knowing that if I have a concern/question and make the call, a friendly person will answer the phone. And if I can’t talk the target person immediately, they will call me back within a short time. Not only that, they will listen to my question/concern and talk to me like they really want to help me. Plus, I am always impressed with the knowledge of the support staff. They truly know their product and they know the electric utility world. My coop benefits “big time” from that wide range of knowledge. In my eye that’s what it’s all about."

"I have been working with some of PCS’s Utilit-e Insight Accounting modules for about two weeks now. Although I do not know all aspects of the individual modules yet, what I have learned and implemented so far has worked very well. I am very impressed with the Accounts Receivable and Payroll modules. Both offer options that our previous software was not able to provide. The modules are also user friendly and easy to learn. I have also found that the modules’ look and processes are similar, making it easier to learn multiple modules quickly.
Also, the staff at PCS is very professional. The discovery and training days were intense, but Deb was so easy to work with and knowledgeable about cooperative accounting and the software, which made the transition fairly easy. Although, I have much more to learn, I am confident that PCS will continue to enhance their software and provide Traverse Electric with stability and the capability to change along with technology and our needs."

"We hired a third-party security firm, who is a Qualified Security Assessor, to evaluate our PCI compliance needs. The security assessor asked satisfy specific questions, which we were able to answer with the information supplied by Joe, the IT Manager, at PCS. Within 24 hours, we had Joe’s information, and the security work already done by PCS, enabling us to limit the scope of the analysis. We were able to have a PCI Gap Analysis done, rather than a full blown audit, which saved a great deal of time and money."

"Learning to use the “Vouchers by GL Acct” report in the AP module to check if the 1099 box was set correctly to 00 or 07 was very helpful. Also, being reminded how to reverse a voucher and correct the 1099 box marking is very helpful. Last year I was busy and thought I knew it all but ended up doing the corrections backwards and wasted a lot of time. From now on I will always take the online 1099 class to refresh my memory yearly. I can see it would be beneficial to check some vendors during the year also. Thanks very much for having this class."
